Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day!

I have a couple of great items to give away as part of the Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day 2013!

ImageMy first item is the very popular (and sold out) Love Patchwork & Quilting magazine. This is the Spring 2013 edition and has the stunning Marcelle Medallion quilt pattern from Liberty Love. There is currently a quilt along for this pattern so you can join in with other bloggers!

You will receive a brand new unopened copy of the magazine which includes a free Nicki Trench mini book with 60 quilting tips (the photos shown are from my own copy). I also love this pattern:Image

There are several other quilting and patchwork projects in the magazine too, as well as features on new fabrics and techniques.

I also have a gorgeous Wonderland by Momo Charm pack to give away. This is a lovely whimsical collection which was hugely popular before it sold out!

To enter, simply leave a comment – it can be about anything but I would love to know what projects you have planned for the spring! Also feedback on the blog and what I could do to improve it is always welcome.

If you follow my blog using Bloglovin, you get a bonus entry! Just let me know you have followed my blog in a separate comment to qualify.

This competition closes on May 10th and I will get in touch with you by May 12th – don’t forget to leave your email address or make sure I can find it! International entries welcome.

Oh goodness, what a lovely giveaway! I have a huge gap in my library that remains to be filled with quilting know-how and these magazines look like just the thing. I’m working on some trousers and hopefully finishing up a sampler quilt this summer. Thanks for the chance to win! -Adriana adriprints(at)yahoo(dot)com

  17. May 7, 2013 / 7:30 pm

I’ve never read those magazines before, so that would be great to receive! Thanks so much for your generous giveaway. When I was doing up my blog I too asked for suggestions and the one that I really liked was to have the page tabs up the top – like you have already – but to have a gallery of sorts of all your finished items, and each of these has a link to the post where you wrote about it in detail. Mine do get used a lot. But other than that, I really like your clean look and uncluttered screen. Something I think I will do to mine.
    Happy sewing!

As for tips on blogging, I’m new to your blog, but I appreciate people who write when they feel like it and about what they want. Sometimes it gets a little monotonous when people feel obligated to post just because. 🙂 That’s my advice.

I am planning on being in my sewing room as little as possible and getting OUT. Being cooped up with the rain so much in the Oregon Winter drives me out as soon as it is nice. So, I have a couple table runners and a flannel quilt to finish, then the machine gets serviced and the blinds get drawn! Until it starts to rain again at least.

I love the look of this magazine! And I think Wonderland was Momo’s best line ever – how about starting a petition to have it re-printed? That last bit wasn’t a serious suggestion but I couldn’t think of a way to improve your blog (looks great to this newcomer) & I thought that if the silly petition thing took off you would be famous & hugely popular. Thanks for the great giveaway.

    • May 9, 2013 / 11:31 am

That’s a great idea! They actually did reprint some of the line but not the colours or prints I liked which was such a shame. It’s ok though as I bought 3 jelly rolls, 2 charm packs and a layer cake while I had the chance!

I found a great pattern for a huge rag quilt. I have the fabric, just need to get the batting. I love rag quilts because you can work on them block by block and when you sew them together, it is finished. Well, of course there is the hours of clipping the edges but it is easy. Mine will be a nautical theme with light houses which I love.
